Cocoon Bucket

A Psalm 8 Worm/Cocoon Bucket is perhaps the least expensive way to take advantage of the power of worms for your garden.  A Cocoon Bucket holds approximately 650 worm cocoons nestled in 5 gallons of our Psalm 8 Premium Worm Bedding.  These cocoons have the potential of producing between 1,500 and 2,000 composting worms within six to eight weeks.

You can use your cocoon bucket in a number of ways:

  1. Your Cocoon Bucket is capable of housing your herd of worms for many weeks simply as is.  The premium bedding provides a full range of food sources for your worms.  As the bucket matures, simply add food scraps or worm chow to the bucket to keep the worms well fed.  As the worms continue to grow and multiply, you may want to move the herd to a larger container.  Mature worms need approximately one square foot of surface space per one thousand worms.  You can place your cocoon bucket into an 18-gal or large plastic bin for long term worm production.

  2. You can place your Psalm 8 Cocoon Bucket and contents directly into your garden, providing both a wonderful additive to your soil as well as a fresh heard of composting worms.

  3. You can drill holes in the side of your Psalm 8 Cocoon Bucket and bury it in your garden soil, providing an expanding source of worms and castings to nurture the soil.  Periodically add food scraps to your bucket along with a handful of shredded cardboard or leaves to keep your worms healthy and active.

However you use your Psalm 8 Worm Bucket, know that you are enriching your soil and adding an abundance of nutrients to grow the very best plants possible.
